Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
Your Excellency's letter dated 27th October, 1914, relative to the Wireless Stations in the Philippine Islands.
As regards the signal made 'en clair" by Fort
Windt to Olangapo, this was intercepted by one of H.M. Ships off Manila and the protest to the American Government was made by His Britannic Majesty's Consul-General at Manila on representat-
ions made by the Senior British Naval Officer.
No further instance of the movements of H.M. Ships
being divulged through this source has been reported up to the
present.
I have, etc.
Sd.
Robt. H. Anstruther
Commodore.
His Excellency
Sir F. H. May, K.C.M.C.,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief,
Hongkong.
